The interfaith international Bible Valley project

The interfaith international Bible Valley project started in May 2002.

The Bible Valley is in the process of being fulfilled, situated on 100k dunam of scenic land on the approaches to the Jerusalem mountains.

The Bible Valley - an international Jewish-Christian interfaith project.

The Bible Valley will be developed into an educational, historical tourist site.

The project’s goals:

  • To enrich and give variety to Israel’s scenery in the area, raising and representing the book of books  civilization that reaches out to all lands, nations and religions
  • To raise funds to carry out the planning program of bible experiences, installing of the educational and tourist facilities, content and accessories
  • To affiliate the Valley with ecology, using biblical, historical, interfaith and international content on environmental issues
  • To design a cultural experience by developing various types of trips and study paths, and to stage events, legends and tales from ancient times
  • To use the area to show the different forms of cilivization over the generations as found in the bible
  • To develop with tourist and recreational potential at the fascinating and special location


The Bible Valley as a joint project.

This bond lies behind the decision that the Bible Valley be an international project. Funding will come from the sale of  “Participation Certificates” to individuals, social and religious organizations, business and national institutions, foundations and donors.

Description of the forest structure within the Valley
The forest will be divided into areas, each telling a biblical story.
Yotham’s parable, Abshalom’s tale, the land flowing with milk and honey, vines, figs and pomegranates, olive, carob and Lentisk tree and other plants known to grow in Israel.

A Visitors’ Center will be erected at the entrance to the site, with content stations - interactive educational presentations, quizzes, an electronic encyclopedia, art works, a sculpture garden, placards displaying the names of participating bodies, internet links to relevant topics, audio-visual exhibits of events and walks related to biblical stories - ready for students and     adults to operate.
